Homoheroics: Scott Kennedy, RIP

22 Mar

Scott Kennedy

Scott Kennedy, a gay comedian who dedicated his career to supporting our troops abroad, has died in his sleep at the age of 50.

This untimely death hits home because I had a “sudden death” heart attack twenty days shy of my 50th birthday. His passing truly makes me wonder how anyone could ever believe there is a spiritual criteria, greater than health concerns or accidents alone, that could “take” someone in the prime of their life while they are engaged in good services; some Act of God craziness that determines “the good die young” instead of plucking up fuck-ups like Charles Manson or Adolph Hitler before they unleashed horrible hurt on the world.

This man has died entirely too early and that is something that hurts all of us, but especially so for the gay community.

I have a lot of mixed emotions about entertainers who support the stormtroopers abroad.

Greg, you’ve been doing some great posts lately and I just wanted to say so. Also, the man candy is amazing.

Same here, Mike. I’ve been a pacifist for over forty years. I was drafted for Vietnam but refused induction. Eventually got a deferment.

I have sympathy for the young who are brainwashed from birth to believe that fighting wars is honorable.

It is a sad statement for the overall sickness of this society. Our sheeple are more likely to consciously embrace violence than the beauty of their own sexual beings.

Perhaps, if mankind exists, in a few thousand years war will be outlawed.

Thanks for the compliment. Glad you are enjoying the man candy. I suppose that is just promoting the objectification of hot young men, but I can’t stop. I’m addicted!

      There are far worse addictions.

      Cheers,
      Greg

I think we are on the same page when it comes to war.

Scott died at 50, he’s wearing a 5 on his red, white and blue shirt. The pentagram has five points, and Captain America wears a pentagram while doing shows for the USO. Syncy.
