Gay History Dept.: Making It Official In France

29 May

The huge anti-gay protests of this past weekend had no effect on the culmination of the first legal gay marriage in France today. Vincent Autin and Bruno Boileau became Mister and Mister in a very public ceremony in Montpellier, the town that claims to be the most gay friendly in the country. Some little fascist decided to celebrate by tossing a smoke bomb into the crowd outside of the city hall, but the ceremony continued despite such shenanigans.

Congratulations to Vincent and Bruno, the new poster boys for gay marriage in France.
