Nobel laureate and the most famous proponent of the literary style “magical realism”, Gabriel Garcia Marquez died today at age 87. Mr. Marquez was the most popular and influential Latin author of the 20th Century. He is famous for two of the greatest novels ever written, “Love In The Time of Cholera” and “One Hundred Years of Solitude”. If you love to read novels and somehow missed these works, I highly recommend both. Finding a copy of “One Hundred Years of Solitude” should be fairly simple as it sold 50 million copies world wide.
