Superhero Art Dept.: A Tribute To Black Panther

14 Jul

Black Panther is the first black superhero in popular American comics. He was created by the legendary team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and had his debut 44 years go this month.

The physical appearance of Black Panther is striking. His costume is simple basic black with a cat-eared cowl that is reminiscent of Batman. But where Batman uses a cape and utility belt, Panther is more like a ninja. As is the custom with superheros, BP has an impressively muscular physique that is always shown off to its best advantage by his sleek black suit. For sheer beauty Panther gets a full 10.
